"I regret how I handled it at the time, but you also have to understand how I got to that point. So we did a lot of things wrong in that decision before you even got to the moment where I got upset or whatever. But it's also because I care a lot."

"I think I always had that. Of course you get better with experience, but you also need to have the car or at least the environment to be able to thrive and you know, really able to yeah, fight for wins."

"Also if it doesn't happen, like it's not going to change my life, you know, like fine, great if I win another one, but we also have to be realistic we are in this fight still because of other people's failures."

q26 「自分のホームグランプリで、自分のファンの前で走るのは本当に信じられない感覚だった。そもそもあそこに戻ってくること自体、誰も信じてなかったと思う。だから俺にとっては本当に信じられないことだった。」

"Just incredible to race in your your home Grand Prix basically in front of all your fans. I think no one would have ever believed to be back there in the first place. So for me it was something really incredible."

q27 「オランダ王室も来てくれてて、本当に特別だった。プレッシャーはもちろんすごかったけど、うまくいったときはなおさら美しく感じる。間違いなく最高の気分の一つだよ。」

"Very special you know to to have the the the royal Dutch family there. For sure the pressure was high for me to perform but then of course when it works out then it makes it even more beautiful. It's definitely one of the best feelings."

q30 「予選でちょっと運が悪くて、かなり後ろからのスタートになった。おまけに何かパーツを変えたせいでペナルティも食らって、さらに後ろになった。何を変えたかも覚えてないんだけどね。」

"A bit of bad luck in qualifying, which meant of course that I had to start quite far back. Plus the little penalty that we had for I don't even know what we changed, but we did change something. So, we had to start even further back."

"It's part of racing."

"It's always just very important to just stay true to yourself that is sitting here but also being with the guys. I mean you know we all had our moments of success and of course success can get uh you can get used to but at the end of the day just important that you always want to try and be better. You always try and want more uh but in a in a healthy way you know and and not suddenly try to feel like you're a rock star."

"I think it's 4050 it's 4050 hours of preparation before because I want to win whatever I do I want to go and not to look like an idiot so when I'm on the simulator I'm also flat out"

"I always give it everything. Doesn't matter if I'm in a fight or not."

q12 「タイトル争いは最高だけど、P12を走ってるときでも常に全力を尽くしてる。その順位なら嫌だけど、車に乗った瞬間に今日は100%出さなくていいなんて思えない、そんなことはあり得ないし、それができないなら引退した方がいい。」

"Championship fight is great, but I always give it everything that I have even if I'm driving P12, even though I hate it if I would be driving in that position, but I know that when I sit in the car I cannot say to myself today I'm not going to give it 100%, that doesn't exist and it's better to stop."

q14 「ずっと学びながら走ってた。で、キミがたぶん30周くらい後ろでパスしようとしてたんだ。プレッシャーは相当あったよ。」

"I was just learning all the way. And then I had Kimi, I think, like 30 laps behind me trying to pass me. So, yeah, there was a lot of pressure."

q16 「もちろんバリアにほぼ突っ込みかけたけど、なんとか持ちこたえた。あの瞬間、心拍数がちょっと上がったよ。」

"Almost of course into the barrier, but we kept it out. Yeah, heartbeat went a little higher there."

q17 「タイヤでギャンブルしようとしたんだけど、うまくいかなくて、一気に後退した。それでそこからまたポディウムまで自力で追い上げたんだ。」

"We tried to of course gamble on the tires, which didn't work, which then meant that I had to fall back all the way. And then I raced myself forward to the podium again."

q20 「正直、セーフティカーとかリスタートとかで本当にクレイジーなレースだったよ。ペースはよかったけどね。」

"Yeah, I mean, honestly, I think that was just a really crazy race with like safety cars, restarts. The pace was good."

q21 「あのレースウィーク、彼らはタイヤにかなり苦しんでた。俺たちは何か知らないけどわりと普通に機能してたから、少し違うタイヤ戦略を選んで、それがうまくいったんだ。タイヤをうまく労われたんだよね。」

"That race weekend they were struggling a lot on the tires. And for us, somehow, yeah, it was all working a bit more normal. So, we chose a bit of a different tire strategy and it was working very well for us that race, you know, we could just look after our tires a bit better."

q23 「最初はウェットで、その後スリックに換えた。あそこは俺のお気に入りのコースの一つで、路面が乾くまですごく辛抱強くいないといけない。ミスは許されないし、コースアウトしやすかったよ。」

"I think yeah, it started off wet then we started going to slicks afterwards. I mean it's one of my favorite tracks and yeah. Was again you have to be very patient with the weather drying up. You cannot afford to make mistakes. It was easy to go off off the track."

q28 「予選がすごく悪くて、P10スタートになった。問題があったんだ。P10から勝つなんて全然想定してなかった、特にあそこはパスしにくいコースだから。確か360度スピンもしたと思う。」

"I think I had a very bad qualifying. I had to start like P10. Yeah, I had a problem. Starting P10 and winning the race was definitely something that I didn't expect, especially around there because it's hard to pass. I think I even did a 360."

q31 「ウェットレースは好きなんだけど、超カオスだった。サンパウロのウェットレースはそういうもんだよね。でも、チャンピオンシップのために前に出ないといけないってわかってた。」

"I like wet races, but it was just super chaotic. Um you know, when it's a wet race, especially around São Paulo. But, I also knew that I had to make my way forward for the championship."

q33 「ポールスタートからして、ちょっと奇跡みたいなものだった。スタートでトップを守って、基本的にレース全体ずっと後ろに2台のマクラーレンがいた。ミスは一切許されなかったよ。」

"Starting from pole, which was already probably a bit of a miracle. Then kept the the lead in the start and basically the whole race was just having two McLarens very close to me. So, we couldn't afford to make any mistakes."

q34 「特に終盤はもう連続でクオリファイングラップみたいな感じで、本当にフルプッシュしないといけなかった。ずっとプレッシャーをかけられてたけど、勝てたんだから、それが一番大事だよ。」

"Especially at the end was like really kind of like qualifying laps in a row, you know, you could really we had to push flat out. And yeah. They were always putting the pressure on, but we we won the race, so that was the most important."

q40 「もう隠れられない。毎週末、上位にいないといけない。大きなミスは許されないし、不調な週末も許されない。でも、最初の週末はラッキーなことにうまくいったけどね。」

"You cannot hide anymore. Every weekend you have to be up there. Yeah. You cannot afford big mistakes. You cannot afford off weekends. But yeah, luckily of course that first weekend went uh went pretty well at the end."

q44 「ブレーキが冷えてるから、カーボンが効かないんだよ。結構熱い状態で入ってくるから、ピタッと止めるのが難しい。カーボンはそういう使い方向けにできてないから。」

"But the brakes are cold. Your bra when you do it, your brakes are cold. So the the carbon doesn't bite. You come in quite hotish. Say to get it bang on that hard time because the carbon then doesn't really grip. It's not made for just"

q45 「今週末は思い通りにいかなかったけど、前に進み続けて、今シーズンもっとハイライトを増やして、もっと安定させないといけない。もちろんこういう残念な結果の時でも、常に全力を尽くして、頭を上げて進み続けることが大事。」

"This weekend, um, it's maybe not gone to our liking, but, um, yeah, we just have to, you know, keep moving forward, keep trying to to get more, you know, highlights this season, be more consistent, I think, and, uh, yeah, just, um, always try to do our best, even, of course, when, you know, you have a dis disappointing result like this, you know, you need to keep your head up and and keep going."

q54 「シムでも全力で攻めて、真剣に取り組まないといけない。セットアップでもいろいろ変えられるし、準備とストラテジーが全てだ。ニュルブルクリンクで24時間レースをやるのはかなりきつい、クレイジーだよ」

"you're also pushing flat out you need to take it seriously you really need to you know work together to make it happen because also there you can change a lot of things on the setup and then it's all about preparation strategy as well because when you're doing a 24-hour race around the norch life it's it's quite tough it's crazy"

q46 「レースや週末がうまくいかなくても、家に帰ったらもう関係ないじゃん。小さな赤ちゃん、女の子が笑いかけてくれたら、もう大丈夫。人生は続くし、それが結局一番大事なことだよ。」

"Even if you have a bad race or weekend, you know, when you when you get back home, doesn't really matter, does it? You know, you see the little baby little girl smiling at you and uh yeah, it's okay. You know, life goes on and that's at the end of the day the most important."

q49 「シムレーシングは俺をずっと準備万端な状態にしてくれる。セットアップにも時間をかけてるし、F1カーじゃなくてGTカーを走らせてるから、ドライビングの技術も違う。だからひたすら自分を試し続けてる」

"it keeps me you know just ready to go because you I'm spending a lot of time also then on the setup and different is I'm not racing a form one car on the simulator but it's like GT car so it's also a different technique of driving so I just keep testing myself"

q53 「今年は最高の年で、シムレーシングのコミュニティでほぼ全部勝った。F1でも勝って楽しかったけど、チームのみんなとこういう瞬間を共有できたのも本当に楽しかった」

"we had an amazing year we've won basically almost everything within you know the Sim racing community so that was also a lot of fun to be part of because I was having a good time on track of course winning in Formula 1 but also sharing these moments with them"

q55 「F1の週末でも、車から降りたらDiscordでチームに「みんなどう？」ってメッセージを送ってた。レースがあれば状況を教えてもらって、試したいセットアップのアイデアを送ったり」

"even during the F1 weekends when I jump out of my car I would be on Discord like texting the guy hey guys like how is it going if they would have a race or like keep me updated would set up things ideas to try all these kind of things"

q8 「誰も諦めなかったのが良かった。事実上戦いから脱落しかけてたのに、常に解決策を探して改善しようとし続けた。そしてそれを実際にやり遂げた。」

"What I like is that no one really, you know, they didn't surrender to the fact that we were basically not in the fight. We always try to find solutions, try to be better and that's exactly what we did."

q50 「シムドライバーたちは本当に速い。実車の経験がないのに、ブレーキングとかコントロールの仕方を見てると、まさに正しい動きをしてる。彼らと自分を比べるのがすごく面白い。彼らはシムで自然に速く、俺はリアルで自然に速い」

"these Sim drivers they are so quick you know they they it's very interesting to see them drive because they have no real experience of a car but somehow when you look at how they're breaking how they're going contr it is how it should be so it's very uh interesting for me you know to then compare myself to them because they're naturally quick on the Sim I'm naturally quick in real life"

q1 「正直もう終わったと思ってた。でも巻き返せたし、マシンのことをかなり深く理解できた。いくつかのレースで最大限の結果を出せたし、マクラーレンはそれができなかった。」

"I honestly thought it was pretty much over at that point, but then yeah, we had a good turnaround. We understood the car quite a lot better, but at the same time also I think we maximized some weekends and then McLaren didn't."

q5 「あの瞬間のせいでタイトルを逃したとは言わない。全体的なパフォーマンスの結果だから。今もこの戦いにいられるのも、自分たちのパフォーマンスのおかげだし。」

"It's not a moment that I will say that's the moment that I lost it because we've lost it because of our general performance. We've still been in it also because of our performance."

q7 「2021年、初めてタイトルを争った年に、自分がその準備ができてると示せたと思う。それまでタイトル争いのチャンスすらなかったから、機会がなければ自分がそれに向いてるかどうかなんてわからないよ。」

"I think I've shown in my very first year that I was fighting for a title, that I was up for it and ready for it in '21. Up until that point I never had a chance to fight for a title, so yeah, it's sometimes also very hard to know if you're up for it or not when you never have the opportunity."

q13 「もちろん、レッドブルに昇格していきなり乗ることになって、何も期待してなかった。ただいいポイントを取ろうとしてただけ。でも1周目が終わった後、ポディウムのチャンスがあるって思ったんだ。」

"Of course, just being promoted to Red Bull and then jumping in, not really expecting anything, just trying to score good points. But, of course, after lap one, I think the opportunity was there for podium."

q15 「初優勝はすごく感情的になったよ。それは間違いない。」

"Yeah, very emotional first win. That's for sure."

q19 「オーストリアのホームグランプリで勝つのは、本当に最高だった。オランダのファンもたくさんいてくれて、タイヤ管理は難しいレースだったけど、勝てるのはやっぱり嬉しいし、ファンとチームのホームレースだからなおさら特別だった。」

"Winning uh in our home Grand Prix in Austria um yeah, that that was amazing. A lot of Dutch fans as well of course for me and uh yeah, very difficult race of course looking after your tires, but of course always nice to win and it makes it even more special of course with my fans and the home Grand Prix for the team."

q22 「あんまり勝てないだろうって思ってた年に、それでも2勝できて、そのうちの1つがこのレースだった。だから本当にいい気分だったよ。」

"Definitely in a year where you think there was not a lot possible, we still managed to win two races and this was one of them. So, that was definitely um a good feeling."

q24 「俺たちにとってすごくいいレースで、あれがその年のチャンピオンシップを本当に勢いづけたんだよ。」

"For us that was a really great race which then of course also really kick started like the the championship that year."

q25 「ザントフォールトでの初レース復活、それ自体がもう信じられないことだと思う。」

"First race back in Zandvoort which I think was already just incredible that that that happened."

q29 「チームもあのレースは本当にいい戦略を与えてくれた。P10からP1、チーム全体の勝利だったよ。最高だった。」

"The team really gave me a great strategy as well that race. So, that was a proper team effort to to win that one. P10 to P1. Fantastic."

q32 「間違いなく自分史上最高のレースの一つだと思う、特にチャンピオンシップのために必要だったときに出たっていうのが。本当にいい思い出だよ。」

"Definitely one of my best races I think ever and especially when it was needed or for the championship. So, really good memories."

q36 「ホンダとの最後の勝利が日本でできて、車もホワイトリバリーだったし、本当にいい結果を残したかった。正直、あそこで勝てるとは少し予想外だったから、勝てたのは本当にいい気分だったよ。」

"Yeah, final win with Honda in Japan. White livery as well the the car, so I really wanted to to do well. I think it was a bit unexpected that we that we won there, so yeah, it was it was a really good feeling to be honest to to win there."

q37 「俺にとっては割と簡単な答えだよ。初優勝が一番感情的だった。あれは絶対忘れない。」

"For me it's pretty easy, I would say. Your first win is the most like emotional one. You will never forget that one."

q38 「レッドブルでの10年間で、本当に特別な10レースだったよ。」

"Those have been 10 pretty special races for me within my within my 10 years of Red Bull."

q39 「みんながずっと注いできた努力、俺が最初の年から今まで。みんなとの関係を築いて、悪い時も良い時も、感情的な瞬間も、厳しい瞬間も一緒に乗り越えてきた。本当のチームスポーツで、一緒に生きていかないといけない。」

"The effort everyone has always put in from, you know, my first year to now. um building that relationship with everyone, going through the bad, the good moments, the emotional moments, uh the tough moment. It's a proper team sport and you have to really live it together."

q41 「チームと200レースになってたなんて知らなかったけど、もちろん素晴らしいマイルストーンだよ。チームとたくさんの素晴らしい瞬間を経験してきた。こんなに長くその一部でいられて、本当に優秀な人たちと仕事できて誇りに思う。」

"I didn't know there was 200 races already with the team, but uh yeah, it's of course an amazing milestone. Um you know, we live through a lot of great moments uh with the team. So, uh yeah, just proud to be part of it for such a long time and work with so many great people as well in the team."

q47 「俺はいつもシフター付きカートでもう一年やった方がいいって言うよ。」

"It's better to to I would I would always say one more year in go-karting in like a shifter."

"That's a bit of a shame because I think it's actually very good. It's very good to learn."
